Gate your financial deliverables behind a payment link

Finance and banking professionals can attach a price to any transfer and keep sensitive reports, models, or data packages locked until the recipient pays. Stripe processes the checkout securely, the download link opens the moment payment clears, and WeTransfer takes no platform fee.

Get paid for your work

Sharing financial analysis, valuation models, or proprietary data before a payment is confirmed hands over your most valuable work with nothing guaranteed in return. WeTransfer's paid transfers let you set a price on any transfer so the files stay completely inaccessible until the buyer completes checkout through Stripe. Every file reaches the recipient exactly as you prepared it, whether that's an Excel workbook, a multi-tab PDF report, a ZIP archive of datasets, or a slide deck, with no compression and no alterations to formatting or structure. Recipients can preview supported file types directly in the browser before paying, giving them enough visibility to commit without ever touching the source files. Paid transfers are available on all WeTransfer plans from a desktop browser, with no additional WeTransfer fees beyond what you charge.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

From a desktop browser, open the transfer window, add your files, and look for the payment option in the transfer settings. Connect your Stripe account, enter the price you want to charge, and send the link. The recipient sees a payment screen when they open the link and the download only becomes available once Stripe confirms the transaction.

No. WeTransfer charges no platform fee on paid transfers, so the full amount you set goes directly to you through Stripe. Stripe's own processing fees apply as they would with any payment, but WeTransfer does not take a percentage of what you charge.

Yes. WeTransfer sends every file in its original state with no compression, no reformatting, and no changes to structure or fidelity. Spreadsheets, PDFs, ZIP archives, PowerPoint decks, and CSV data files all reach the recipient exactly as you packaged them.

Recipients can preview supported file types such as PDFs, images, and certain Office formats directly in the browser before the download is unlocked. This gives clients enough confidence to proceed with payment without ever accessing the underlying source files or editable versions.

No. Recipients do not need a WeTransfer account to pay for or download a transfer. They open the link, complete the Stripe checkout, and access the files, all without signing up. A free WeTransfer account is required on the sender's side to create and send the transfer.
