Share one upload link with clients, second shooters, or studios and every file they send lands straight in your WeTransfer workspace. You get an email notification the moment something arrives, so you never have to ask whether files came through. No shared folder permissions, no bloated email attachments, no lost assets.
Request once, receive from anyone
Photographers and videographers live and die by the quality of what lands in their inbox, and WeTransfer upload requests are built for exactly that. Create a request link in seconds, then drop it into a client onboarding email, a shoot brief, a booking form, or your website, and let assets flow in on their own. RAW files, 4K video clips, audio tracks, PSD layered files, ZIP archives, and anything else your clients work with all arrive in their original condition, with no compression and no quality loss. You can preview supported file types directly in your browser to confirm the right files came through before pulling anything into your editing workflow. Both you and anyone uploading to your request need a free WeTransfer account, and a new request is ready to share in a few clicks.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Log in to WeTransfer, click Request Files on the homepage, give your request a title, and optionally add instructions covering things like file format, naming conventions, or resolution requirements. WeTransfer generates a link you can share anywhere, from a client email to your booking page. When someone uploads to that link, you get an email notification and the files appear in the Received tab of your account.
Anyone uploading files to your request link needs a free WeTransfer account. Creating one is quick and costs nothing, so it should not slow down a client handoff. You also need a free account to create the request in the first place.
Yes. WeTransfer does not re-encode, resize, or compress your files at any point. RAW formats including ARW, NEF, CR2, CR3, DNG, and others, as well as 4K video, layered PSD files, and any other format your clients shoot or edit in, all reach your workspace exactly as they were on the sender's drive.
Yes. When you create a request you can add a title and a written instructions field, which is the right place to specify file formats, naming conventions, resolution minimums, or any other delivery requirements. Clients see these instructions before they upload, which cuts down on back-and-forth and resends.
Both are possible. File requests stay open indefinitely until you close or delete them, so a long-running project or retainer client can use the same link across multiple shoots. When a job wraps, go to Transfers and find your request in the file requests view, then close it so no further uploads come through. You can delete the request entirely at any time.
