Log into your WeTransfer account, click Request Files on the homepage, give your request a title, and optionally add instructions such as file formats, naming conventions, or a deadline. WeTransfer generates a unique link you can paste into any email, messaging app, or supplier brief. Every file uploaded through that link lands in the Received tab of your workspace, and you get an email notification each time something arrives.
No paid plan is required on either side. Anyone uploading to your request link needs a free WeTransfer account, and creating the request itself also only requires a free account. This makes it straightforward to collect assets from external partners, freelance photographers, or catering vendors who may not use your internal systems.

You can manage this directly from your Transfers panel. Leave the link active for as long as you need submissions to keep coming in, for example across a full wedding season or a hotel renovation project. When you no longer need new uploads, you can close the request so anyone visiting the link sees a message that it is no longer available, or delete it entirely. You can also reopen or reshare the link at any point before closing it.
