Create a single upload link and send it to clients, counterparties, or colleagues. Every document they submit arrives directly in your WeTransfer workspace, and you get an email notification the moment it lands. No shared drive permissions to configure, no sensitive files buried in email chains.
Request once, receive from anyone
Finance and banking professionals spend too much time chasing down the documents they need — KYC records, signed agreements, tax filings, statements, or due diligence packages scattered across inboxes and portals. WeTransfer upload requests give you a dedicated link you can drop into a client onboarding email, a deal checklist, or a loan application workflow, and every file submitted routes straight to your workspace. PDFs, spreadsheets, scanned contracts, and structured data files all arrive exactly as they were saved, with no compression or quality loss, so nothing is altered before it reaches your review queue. You can preview PDFs and supported document formats directly in your browser to confirm the right file has come through before pulling it into your workflow, which matters when you are managing submissions across multiple clients or transactions at once. Both you and anyone uploading to your request need a free WeTransfer account, and a new request takes only seconds to create and share.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Log in to your WeTransfer account, click Request Files on the homepage, give your request a title, and optionally add instructions such as which documents to include or how to name files. WeTransfer generates a unique upload link you can paste into an onboarding email, a client portal message, or a deal checklist. When someone uploads to that link, the files land in your Received tab and you get an email notification straight away.
No paid plan is required. Anyone uploading to your request link needs a free WeTransfer account, but nothing more. That keeps the barrier low for clients, borrowers, or counterparties who may not be familiar with your internal tools, while you retain full control over where the files go.
WeTransfer accepts any file type, so clients can send PDFs, Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, scanned images, ZIP archives, and CSV exports without any conversion or reformatting on their end. Every file arrives exactly as it was created, with no compression or quality loss, so financial statements, signed contracts, and compliance certificates reach your workspace in the same condition they left the sender.
Yes. When creating a request you can add a title and a written description covering things like required file formats, naming conventions, or a submission deadline. Those instructions are visible to anyone who opens your link before they upload, which reduces back-and-forth and helps you receive the right documents the first time.
You receive an email notification each time someone uploads to your request, so you always know when new documents are waiting in your Received tab without having to check manually. When you no longer need submissions, go to Transfers, find the request, and close it. Anyone who visits the link after that will see a message that the request is no longer available, and you can delete the request entirely when the engagement wraps up.
