Log into your WeTransfer account and create an upload request from your workspace. You will get a personal link you can share with whoever needs to send you files. When they open the link and upload their data files, everything lands directly in your workspace and you get an email notification.
WeTransfer does not restrict file types, so people can send you CSVs, Excel spreadsheets, JSON files, XML exports, database backups, compressed archives, and any other data format they are working with. Files come through exactly as they were saved, with no conversion or compression applied.
Free accounts can upload up to 3 GB per transfer, which covers most data files comfortably. If your contributors are working with very large datasets, upgrading to an Ultimate plan removes the per-transfer size limit entirely, so there is no ceiling to worry about.
Yes. Your upload request link can be shared with as many people as you need, and each person can upload their files independently. There is no cap on how many contributors can use the same link, which makes it practical for collecting data from a whole team or a large group of respondents.
Every time someone uploads to your request, WeTransfer sends you an email notification so you know right away. You can also view and manage all received files from your transfers dashboard, making it straightforward to see what has arrived and follow up with anyone who has not yet submitted.
