Create an upload request link and share it with anyone — clients, collaborators, photographers, or fans. Every file they send lands directly in your WeTransfer workspace, and you get an email notification the moment it arrives. No back-and-forth emails, no dropbox permissions to untangle, no chasing anyone for assets.
Request once, receive from anyone
As an artist or creator, you spend enough time on the actual work without hunting down reference photos, raw footage, sound files, or client briefs scattered across a dozen inboxes. WeTransfer upload requests give you a dedicated link you can drop into a commission form, a client onboarding email, a social bio, or a project brief, and everything submitted flows straight into your workspace. Images, videos, audio files, design documents, and ZIP archives all arrive exactly as they were saved, with no compression or quality loss, so high-resolution artwork and original audio reach you in the same condition they left the sender. You can preview supported file types directly in your browser to confirm the right assets have come through before downloading anything. Both you and anyone uploading to your request need a free WeTransfer account, and a new request takes only seconds to set up.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Go to WeTransfer and click Request Files, give your request a title, and add any instructions you want contributors to see, such as preferred file formats, naming conventions, or a deadline. Once created, you get a link you can share anywhere: a client email, your portfolio site, an Instagram bio, or a project brief. When someone uploads to your link, you get an email notification and the files appear in the Received tab of your account.
Yes, a free WeTransfer account is required to upload files to a request. Creating a free account takes only a moment, and your clients or collaborators can sign up automatically when they send their first transfer. There is no cost to them and no software to install, everything happens in the browser.
WeTransfer handles any file type, so clients and collaborators can send you high-resolution photos, raw camera files, video footage including 4K, audio recordings, Photoshop or Illustrator files, PDFs, ZIPs, and more. Files arrive exactly as they were saved, with no re-encoding or compression, so nothing loses quality in transit.
Yes. When you create a request, you can include a title and written instructions visible to anyone who opens your link. This is useful for setting expectations around file formats, resolution requirements, naming conventions, or submission deadlines, so you spend less time following up and more time reviewing the work that comes in.
Both options are available. You can leave a request open indefinitely and share the same link across multiple projects or with new contributors as they come on board. When you no longer want submissions, you can close the request so anyone visiting the link sees a message that it is no longer active, or delete it entirely. You manage all your requests from the Transfers panel in your account.
