When you send listing images through WeTransfer, every transfer gets its own unique download link that buyers, stagers, and colleagues can return to from any browser. With Ultimate, you decide when that link expires, including the option to keep it open indefinitely, so your photography stays accessible for the full lifecycle of a listing.
Share files that never expire
Real estate professionals send high-resolution photography at every stage of a deal, and those images often need to remain accessible well beyond the initial handoff. WeTransfer delivers photos exactly as they came out of the camera, whether JPEG, TIFF, HEIC, or RAW formats, with no compression and no detail lost in transit. Anyone you share a link with can open it in their browser and preview images before downloading, with no account required on their end. For confidential shoots, pre-market listings, or developer previews, you can add a password or restrict access to a specific set of email addresses so the right people see the work at the right time. WeTransfer is ISO 27001 certified, GDPR-compliant, and encrypts every file in transit and at rest, giving property teams a solid foundation for sharing visual assets securely.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

On the Free plan, transfer links expire after 3 days. With Ultimate, you can set a custom expiry date or choose to keep a link open indefinitely, which suits real estate workflows where buyers, solicitors, or co-agents may need to revisit listing photography weeks or months after the initial send. You manage expiry from your Transfers panel and can adjust it at any time while the transfer is active.
No. WeTransfer sends every image in its original state, with no re-encoding, no compression, and no resolution loss. A full-resolution RAW file, a high-detail TIFF, or a wide-angle JPEG arrives exactly as it left your camera or editing software, which matters when buyers and print vendors need pixel-accurate property photography.
Yes. Recipients can view images directly in their browser through WeTransfer's in-browser preview without downloading anything first. Supported formats include JPEG, PNG, TIFF, HEIC, and popular RAW formats such as ARW, NEF, CR2, and DNG. Previews display at slightly lower resolution than the original, and clients can then choose to download individual files or the full set, which is useful when sharing large shoots with many images.
Ultimate subscribers can recover expired transfers, including ones that expired before you upgraded. For files under 256 MB, recovery is available for up to one year after expiry. For files over 256 MB, the window is up to 90 days. Free plan users cannot recover expired transfers, so if you regularly share large photography packages that need to stay accessible, an upgraded plan is worth considering.
When creating a transfer, you can add a password that recipients must enter before viewing or downloading your images. Alternatively, you can use restricted access to limit downloads to a specific list of email addresses, so only the people you name can open the link. Both options are available on all plans and can be set or updated from your Transfers panel after the files are already sent.
