On an Ultimate plan and above, you can set a transfer to stay active indefinitely, so a listing brochure or purchase agreement link remains accessible whether a client returns to it tomorrow or months later. Free plan transfers expire after a maximum of three days, so ongoing real estate workflows benefit from upgrading. You can also adjust or remove an expiry date on any active transfer from your Transfers panel.
WeTransfer sends files without any compression, re-encoding, or reformatting, so your PDF arrives in exactly the state you uploaded it, with fonts, page layout, and embedded images all preserved. This matters for property brochures and contracts where precise formatting carries legal or brand weight. Recipients can also preview the PDF in their browser before downloading to confirm it is the right document.
No account is required on the recipient side. Clients, buyers, solicitors, or any other party can click the download link and access the PDF directly from their browser, with no sign-up or installation needed. This removes friction at every stage of a transaction, from sharing a listing pack to distributing final closing documents.
WeTransfer gives you a couple of options. You can add a password to any transfer and share it separately with intended recipients, so only people who have the password can download the file. Both options are available on all plans and can be set or changed after a transfer has already been sent.
On Ultimate and above, expired transfers can be recovered even after the link has gone dark, and this applies retroactively to transfers that expired before you upgraded. Recovery windows depend on file size. Free and Starter plan users cannot recover expired transfers, so if long-term access to past documents matters to your workflow, Ultimate is the right fit. You manage recovery directly from your Transfers panel.
