Yes. On the Ultimate plan and above, you can set transfers to never expire, so your listing photos, site images, or development renders stay accessible for as long as you need them. Free plan links are available for up to 3 days, while Ultimate removes that fixed window entirely, letting you decide if or when a link ever closes. This is useful for ongoing listings, long sales cycles, or portfolio pages you share repeatedly with prospective buyers.
No. WeTransfer sends files in their original quality with no re-encoding, no resolution loss, and no compression that alters your images. A 4K exterior shot, a high-resolution floor plan render, or a RAW file from a professional camera arrives exactly as you prepared it. Recipients can also preview images in-browser before downloading, so they can check what they need without pulling everything down at once.
WeTransfer gives you a couple of options. You can add a password to any transfer so only recipients who have that password can open it, useful for pre-launch listings or confidential development sites. Alternatively, you can restrict access to a specific list of email addresses, meaning only named individuals can download the files after verifying their identity. Both options are available on all plans and can be set or changed after a transfer is sent.
No account is needed to download or preview a transfer. Clients, buyers, or partner agencies simply open the link in any browser and access the files directly. This removes any barrier between you and the people you are sharing with, whether that is an overseas investor, a developer, or a buyer visiting the listing page for the first time weeks after you sent the link.
On the Ultimate plan and above, expired transfers can be recovered even retroactively, so if a client returns to an old listing link after it has closed, you can restore access without re-uploading the images. For files under 256 MB, recovery is available for up to one year after expiry; for larger files, the window is up to 90 days. Free plan transfers cannot be recovered once expired, making a paid plan a practical choice for real estate professionals who share images with a long shelf life.
