Yes. On an Ultimate plan or above, you can remove the expiry on any transfer entirely, keeping the download link open indefinitely until you choose to delete it. That means a listing pack, floor plan, or legal document stays reachable for the full duration of a sale cycle or beyond. Free accounts are limited to a maximum expiry of 3 days per transfer.
WeTransfer handles any file type you are likely to use in a property workflow: high-resolution JPEG and PNG photos, PDF contracts and disclosure documents, CAD and 3D drawings, Office documents such as Word and Excel, video walkthroughs, ZIP archives, and entire folders. Files arrive at the other end exactly as you sent them, with no re-encoding or resolution loss.
When creating a transfer, you can enable restricted access and specify one or more email addresses. Only recipients whose email matches your list can download the files after verifying their identity, so confidential contracts or financial summaries stay within the intended parties. You can also add a password to a transfer as an additional layer of control, and update your access list at any time from your Transfers panel.
Yes. Download tracking lets you see who downloaded a transfer and the exact date and time they did so. For email transfers, you can see a per-recipient status directly from your Transfers panel. This is useful for real estate workflows where confirming a client or solicitor has received and opened key documents matters before a deadline.
On an Ultimate plan or above, you can recover expired transfers, including ones that expired before you upgraded. Recovery is available for up to one year for files under 256 MB and up to 90 days for files over 256 MB, provided the Recoverable option was enabled on the transfer. Free accounts cannot recover expired transfers, so setting a long or unlimited expiry upfront is the more reliable approach for documents that need to stay accessible.
