Yes. With WeTransfer Ultimate, you can remove the expiry on any transfer entirely, so your spreadsheet link stays live for as long as you need it. This is useful for ongoing reference materials in finance and banking, such as rate tables, template workbooks, or reporting models that multiple colleagues need to revisit over time. You can also update the expiry on a transfer after it has already been sent, directly from your transfers panel.
No. WeTransfer does not re-encode or modify your files in any way. Your spreadsheet arrives at the other end exactly as you exported it, with every formula, data tab, and conditional format preserved. This matters in finance and banking, where even minor file changes can affect calculations or audit trails.
You have two options for controlling access. You can add a password to any transfer, so only recipients who know it can download the file. Alternatively, you can restrict access to a specific list of email addresses, which means the link only works for the people you have named. Both options are available on all plans, making it straightforward to keep sensitive financial data out of the wrong hands.
