Share Figma files that stay available as long as you need

Design handoffs, client presentations, and reference files don't follow a three-day schedule. WeTransfer gives every transfer a unique download link and puts you in control of whether that link has a closing date at all.

Share files that never expire

When you're sharing Figma exports with developers, clients, or stakeholders, a link that disappears after a few days creates more work than it solves. WeTransfer sends every file exactly as it left your machine, with no compression and no quality loss, so exported frames, assets, PDFs, and ZIP archives arrive intact and ready to use. Each transfer gets a unique download link that recipients can open in any browser without signing up, removing friction for anyone on the receiving end. You can lock a transfer behind a password or restrict access to a named list of email addresses when a design contains work that isn't ready for wide circulation, and download tracking lets you see precisely who has opened each file. For design teams sharing work across an entire organization, WeTransfer scales to bring everyone under one roof with shared storage and centralized billing.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

Yes. On the Ultimate plan and above, you can set a transfer to never expire, meaning your download link stays live until you choose to delete it. This is useful for Figma exports that developers or clients need to return to repeatedly, such as a design system reference, a handoff package, or an approved UI spec. Free and Starter transfers have a maximum three-day window, so a paid plan is the right fit for permanent or long-running access.

No. WeTransfer sends files in their original state with no re-encoding, no compression, and no modification. Whether you're exporting a Figma design as a ZIP archive, a set of high-resolution PNGs, a PDF, or a folder of assets, everything arrives exactly as it left your machine. Recipients get the same files you uploaded, pixel for pixel.

Yes. WeTransfer supports folder uploads, so you can drop an entire organized export folder directly into the transfer window and recipients will download it with the original folder structure intact. That makes it straightforward to share a multi-page design handoff or a full component library without zipping everything yourself first.

You have two options. Password protection lets you lock any transfer so only people who know the password can download it. Restricted access goes further: you specify a list of email addresses, and only verified recipients on that list can open the link. Both are available on all plans, and you can add or update the access list after the transfer has already been sent.

Yes. Download tracking, which you enable per transfer before sending, shows you who downloaded your files and when. For email transfers, a checkmark appears next to each recipient's address once they've downloaded, and you can hover over it to see the exact date and time. It's a straightforward way to confirm that a handoff has actually been picked up, without needing to chase anyone.
