Whether you're sharing a demo reel, a finished mix, or a sound library, your audio deserves a link that stays open. WeTransfer delivers every file at full quality and gives you control over how long that link remains accessible.
Share files that never expire
Musicians, sound designers, and podcast producers often need a single link to stay live long after the initial send, so collaborators, clients, and fans can return to it on their own schedule. WeTransfer sends audio files exactly as you uploaded them, with no re-encoding or quality loss, whether you're sharing MP3s, WAVs, high-resolution masters, or entire folder structures with stems and session files. Every transfer gets its own unique download link that recipients can open in any browser without creating an account, removing any barrier between your work and the people who need to hear it. Recipients can also preview supported audio formats directly in the browser before downloading, so they can confirm they have the right file before committing to a download. Add a password or restrict access to specific email addresses when sharing unreleased tracks or sensitive client work, keeping your audio in the right hands.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Yes. On a WeTransfer Ultimate plan or above, you can set a custom expiry for any transfer or choose to keep it active with no expiry at all, so the link remains open for as long as you need it. Free and Starter plan transfers expire after up to 3 days, which is worth knowing if you need long-term access for demos, portfolios, or reference tracks.
No. WeTransfer sends every audio file in its original format and quality, with no compression, no re-encoding, and no change to sample rate or bit depth. A 24-bit WAV or a high-resolution master arrives exactly as you uploaded it, so the recipient hears what you intended.
Yes. Recipients can play MP3 and WAV files (up to 300 MB) directly in the browser without downloading anything first, so they can confirm they have the right take or version before saving it to their device. No WeTransfer account is needed on the recipient's end to preview or download.
On Ultimate, Teams, and Enterprise plans, expired transfers can be recovered within specific windows after expiry, so a missed deadline does not always mean the files are gone for good. Free and Starter plan transfers cannot be recovered once they expire, and the files are permanently deleted from WeTransfer's servers.
You can add a password to any transfer before or after sending, so only people who know it can access the files. For tighter control, you can enable restricted access and specify the exact email addresses allowed to download, which is useful for sharing pre-release material with a label, sync supervisor, or individual client without it spreading further.
