Sign in to your WeTransfer Ultimate account, upload your files, and open the expiry settings before sending. You can set the expiry to never, which keeps the download link active indefinitely. The link works for anyone you share it with, and files remain accessible until you choose to delete the transfer yourself.
No. Once you set a transfer to never expire, the link stays live automatically with no renewals or check-ins required. If you ever want to revoke access, deleting the transfer from your account removes the link immediately. You can also adjust the expiry date of any active transfer at any time from your Transfers panel.
Yes. You can add a password to any transfer so only recipients who know it can download your files. For tighter control, the restricted access option limits downloads to a specific list of email addresses you provide, and WeTransfer notifies you each time one of those recipients accesses the transfer.
WeTransfer Ultimate includes expired transfer recovery, which lets you retrieve transfers that expired before you upgraded, not just new ones. Files under 256 MB can be recovered for up to one year after expiry, and files over 256 MB for up to 90 days. Once recovered, you can extend the expiry or set it to never expire going forward.
No account is needed to download. Recipients just open the link and download directly from their browser, on any device. If you have enabled previews, they can also browse and preview supported files, including images, PDFs, audio, and video, before choosing what to download.
