When you're setting up your transfer, look for the Password field in the transfer options panel before clicking Transfer. Type in your chosen password, finish adding your video files, and send. Recipients who open the link will hit a password prompt before anything loads. The password is never included in the transfer notification email, so share it with your recipients separately through whatever channel suits you.
The password gates the entire transfer, including the in-browser preview. Once a recipient enters the correct password they can watch supported video formats directly in their browser before choosing to download, but they cannot see or play anything until they clear the prompt first. This means your footage stays protected whether someone intends to download it or just wants a quick look.
Yes. Go to your Transfers panel, open the relevant transfer, and you'll find options to set, change, or remove the password. The change takes effect immediately, so if you want to rotate the password after a client has downloaded their files, or remove it entirely for a new round of recipients, you can do that without re-uploading your videos.
No account is needed on the recipient's side. Anyone with the link can access the transfer as long as they enter the correct password.
