WeTransfer handles any file type: photos, videos, PDFs, audio files, Office documents, design files, and more. Files are sent in their original quality with no compression, so what you upload is exactly what your recipient receives.
No. Recipients can download and preview transfers without signing up for anything. They just open the link or click the button in the notification email and get their files. A WeTransfer account is only required to send transfers, not to receive them.
Yes. Before sending, you can add a password that recipients must enter before they can download. You can also enable download tracking to see who downloaded your files and when, or restrict access so only specific email addresses can open the transfer. All of these options are available on all plans.
Free accounts support up to 3 GB per transfer and up to 10 transfers per rolling 30-day window, with links staying active for up to 3 days. On Ultimate, there is no per-transfer size limit, transfers can be set to never expire, and you get unlimited transfers, so larger or more frequent sends are no problem.
