If a client loses their link, copy it straight from the panel and pass it on without re-uploading anything. You can rename transfers to match projects, adjust expiry settings to keep a delivery available a little longer, or delete a transfer outright to revoke access immediately. Adding or swapping a password on an already-sent transfer takes seconds, which matters when a private shoot needs to stay that way.

Open your Transfers panel, click the transfer you want to change, and find the Expiration date field to pick a new date from the calendar. The update takes effect immediately. On the Free and Starter plans transfers expire after a maximum of 3 days, while Ultimate and above let you choose any duration or keep photos available indefinitely. Just let your recipient know directly if the deadline shifts — they won't get an automatic notification.


Yes, you can delete any transfer from your Sent panel at any time. The moment you confirm the deletion, the download link stops working for everyone — recipients included. This is useful when a shoot gets pulled, a client relationship ends, or you simply want to make sure no one can access images that are no longer relevant. Files are permanently removed from WeTransfer's servers and cannot be recovered after deletion.


Hover over the transfer in your Sent panel and click Copy link — you can then send that URL to whoever needs access, through any channel you like. Link transfers have no recipient cap, so the same link works for a new collaborator, a print lab, or a client who forwarded the job to a colleague. If you used email delivery originally, you can also forward the transfer directly from the panel without re-uploading a single file.


Yes. In your Sent panel each transfer shows a downloaded or not yet downloaded status at a glance. For email transfers, a checkmark appears next to each recipient's address once they've downloaded, and hovering over it shows the exact date and time. If you want more detail — like confirming a specific email address downloaded a link transfer — you can enable tracked downloads when setting up the transfer, and WeTransfer will notify you each time someone accesses the files.


You can rename any transfer from the Sent panel: hover over it and click Edit title, or open the transfer details page and select the edit option below the current title. Giving transfers a clear name — a shoot date, project, or client name — makes it much easier to find specific deliveries later, especially if you send photos regularly. The title also appears in transfer notification emails and on the download page, so recipients know exactly what they're opening.
