Your sent PDFs, fully under control

Every PDF you've shared through WeTransfer lives in your Transfers panel, ready to revisit whenever you need it. Update settings, pull a fresh link, check delivery status, or remove access — all from one place, long after the original send.

Keep track of all your files

Finding and managing PDFs you've already sent is straightforward from your Transfers panel, which keeps a full record of everything you've shared. Each entry shows delivery status, so you can see at a glance whether a recipient has opened your document — no follow-up email required. If a PDF needs to reach someone new, you can copy its download link or forward the transfer directly without uploading the file again. Need to lock down a contract or brief? You can add, change, or remove a password on any active transfer after the fact. Rename transfers to stay organized, adjust how long a PDF stays available, or delete it immediately to cut off access the moment it's no longer needed.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

Yes. In your Transfers panel, hover over any sent transfer and choose the option to edit its title. Renaming helps you stay organized when you're managing multiple document versions or client briefs. The updated name appears in your panel and in any transfer-related emails — recipients with the original link are not affected.

Open the transfer in your Transfers panel, find the password field, and set or update it from there. The change takes effect immediately, so anyone trying to open the PDF link after that point will need the new password. Remember to share the password with your recipients directly — WeTransfer does not include it in the transfer notification email.

Basic download status is visible for every sent transfer in your Transfers panel — a status label shows whether the PDF has been downloaded or not yet, and for email transfers you can see exactly when each recipient downloaded it. If you need more detailed tracking, enabling Access Control on a transfer lets you see a full activity log of who accessed the file and when.

Copy the download link directly from your Transfers panel and share it however works best — email, chat, wherever. If you sent the transfer as an email transfer, you can also forward it to new recipients from the same panel without re-uploading the PDF. There is no limit on how many people can access a link transfer.

On Free and Starter plans, expired transfers are permanently removed and cannot be recovered. On Ultimate and above, you can recover expired transfers from your Transfers panel, including ones that lapsed before you upgraded — so an old contract or signed document is not necessarily gone for good. Recovery windows depend on file size, so checking the panel as soon as you realize a transfer has lapsed is the best move.
