Government organisations and NGOs often need to revisit past document transfers — to update access, resend a link, or confirm delivery. Your WeTransfer Transfers panel keeps every sent document organised and editable, so nothing slips through the gaps.
Keep track of all your files
When documents contain sensitive policy information, grant applications, or inter-agency correspondence, staying in control of who can access them matters as much as the initial send. WeTransfer logs every document transfer you've made in one panel, where you can rename it, copy its link, check delivery status, or pull access entirely without re-uploading anything. If a recipient's email address changes or a new stakeholder needs the same files, you can resend the download link in seconds. Password protection can be added or updated on any transfer after the fact, which is useful when document sensitivity changes or internal policies require it. For organisations handling compliance requirements or regular document workflows across teams and partners, that kind of post-send control is practical rather than optional.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Every document transfer you send is listed in the Transfers panel under your account, where you can rename it to match a project reference, contract number, or department name. Searching by title makes it straightforward to retrieve a specific submission or report even months after sending. Staying logged in with a single organisational account keeps all outbound document records in one auditable place.
Yes. You can add or change a password on any active transfer from the Transfers panel without touching the original files. If access needs to be cut off entirely — for example, if a funding document was sent to the wrong contact — deleting the transfer immediately revokes the download link for everyone who has it. For more granular control, paid plans let you restrict access to a specific list of verified email addresses.
For email transfers, the Transfers panel shows a status indicator per recipient — a checkmark appears once they've downloaded, and hovering over it shows the exact date and time. If you need broader visibility across link-based document transfers, you can enable download tracking, which notifies you each time someone downloads and logs who accessed the files. This is available on all plans.
Yes. From the Transfers panel, hover over any active transfer and copy its download link, then share it directly with the new recipient via email or your organisation's messaging tools. You can also forward a transfer to additional recipients from the same panel if you're on a paid plan. Neither option requires re-uploading the documents.
Once a transfer expires, the files are permanently removed from WeTransfer's servers and the download link stops working. On Free and Starter plans, transfers expire after a maximum of three days and cannot be recovered. On Ultimate and above, you can set a custom expiry or keep transfers active indefinitely, and expired transfers can be recovered — even ones that expired before you upgraded — within defined recovery windows. For organisations that regularly share time-sensitive documents and need continuity, these controls are worth factoring into your plan choice.
