Government bodies and NGOs deal with sensitive documents, shifting teams, and strict accountability requirements. Your WeTransfer Transfers panel gives you a clear record of every file you've sent, so you can update, restrict, resend, or remove access as your needs evolve.
Keep track of all your files
When you're working across departments, partner organisations, or field teams, keeping track of what you've shared and with whom is part of the job. WeTransfer logs every transfer you've sent in one place, so you can search, rename, and act on past transfers without digging through old emails or re-uploading files. If a colleague moves on, a contract ends, or a document is superseded, you can delete a transfer immediately and the download link is revoked for everyone who has it. For materials that require tighter handling, such as policy drafts, beneficiary data, or grant documentation, you can add or change a password on any sent transfer, or restrict access to a specific list of verified email addresses. Recipients can also preview supported file types, including PDFs and Word documents, directly in the browser before downloading, which makes distributing materials to large or dispersed teams much more manageable.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Every transfer you send is saved to your Transfers panel, where you can search by title, view recipient details, and check the status of each one. You can rename transfers at any time to match internal reference numbers, project codes, or reporting cycles, which makes auditing past file shares much more straightforward. If your organisation needs a clear record of who received what and when, download tracking can be enabled on any transfer so you see exactly who downloaded and at what time.
Yes. From your Transfers panel you can delete any sent transfer at any time, which immediately revokes the download link for everyone who has it. You can also add, change, or remove a password on a transfer after sending, or tighten access by restricting downloads to a specific list of verified email addresses, which is useful when a document should only reach named staff or approved partners.
Open the transfer in your Transfers panel and copy the download link to share with whoever needs it, or use the forward option to send it directly to new recipients from your transfer list. Neither action requires re-uploading the original files. This is particularly useful when staff turn over during a project or when a partner organisation joins a programme after the initial distribution.
Recipients can preview a range of file types, including PDFs, Word documents, images, and audio, directly in the browser without downloading anything. This matters for distributed teams or low-bandwidth environments where downloading large packages isn't always practical. Previewers can also comment on individual files and mark favourites, which helps coordinate feedback across multiple offices without exchanging separate emails.
Free and Starter plan transfers expire after a maximum of three days, which is not practical for most organisational workflows. On the Ultimate plan and above, you can set a custom expiry for any transfer or keep it active indefinitely. Ultimate also includes the ability to recover expired transfers, including ones that lapsed before you upgraded, which is valuable if you need to retrieve shared documents after a grant cycle or reporting deadline. Teams and Enterprise plans add shared storage, centralised billing, and workspace management for organisations with multiple staff members.
