Yes. Recipients never need a WeTransfer account to download a transfer. You send the files, they get a link or an email notification, and they can download everything directly from their browser on any device. That matters when you're coordinating with third-party installers, tower crews, or overseas vendors who shouldn't need to sign up for a tool just to grab a firmware package.
WeTransfer handles any file type without altering it, so you can send CAD and network topology drawings, PDF specs, ZIP archives of configuration files, firmware images, video walkthroughs of physical infrastructure, AutoCAD exports, spreadsheets, and more. Files arrive in their original format and quality, with no re-encoding or compression applied during the transfer.
Two access control options are available on all plans. You can add a password to the transfer, which recipients must enter before downloading, and you share that password separately. Or you can restrict access to a specific list of email addresses, so only those people can open the files after verifying their identity. Both options work well for confidential specs, tender documents, or anything you don't want circulating beyond the intended recipients.

Yes. In your Transfers panel, each sent transfer shows whether it has been downloaded. For email transfers, you can see a per-recipient status and hover to check the exact date and time of the download. If you want more detail, you can enable tracked downloads, which requires recipients to verify their email before accessing the files and sends you a notification each time someone downloads.
