The simplest, free way to share

Sharing presentations often means dealing with email attachment limits, clunky cloud-sharing permissions, or version confusion when files bounce around. WeTransfer cuts through all of that: upload your PowerPoint, Keynote, or PDF slides from any browser and send them on their way in minutes. Your files arrive exactly as you built them, with no compression or formatting changes, so animations, embedded fonts, and high-resolution graphics stay intact. Recipients can open slides for a preview directly in the browser before downloading, making it easy to confirm they have the right version without pulling the whole file. For presentations that need an extra layer of care, free accounts include password protection and the option to restrict access to specific email addresses, so your pitch deck or confidential proposal only reaches the people it should.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

WeTransfer works with PowerPoint (.ppt and .pptx), Keynote, PDF, and pretty much any other format you might use for slides. You can also send ZIP archives if you need to bundle a presentation alongside supporting assets. Your files are transferred exactly as they are, with no conversion or compression applied.

No. WeTransfer does not re-encode, compress, or alter your files in any way. Embedded fonts, high-resolution images, animations, and speaker notes all arrive exactly as you saved them. What leaves your computer is what lands with the recipient.

Recipients can preview PDFs and many common file types directly in the browser without downloading anything first. If you export your slides as a PDF before sending, the person on the other end can scroll through every page in-browser and then choose to download only what they need. They can also leave comments on individual files and mark favorites, which is handy for getting quick feedback on a deck.

Free accounts include two options for this. You can add a password to a transfer, which you then share with your recipient separately, so only someone with that password can download. Alternatively, you can restrict access to a specific email address or a list of addresses, meaning the download link is useless to anyone not on your list. Both options are available on all plans at no extra cost.

On a free account you can send up to 3 GB per transfer, up to 10 transfers in a rolling 30-day window, and links stay active for up to 3 days before expiring. That covers most one-off slide shares comfortably. If you regularly send large decks, need transfers to stay live indefinitely, want to recover a link after it expires, or prefer to deliver files under your own name and branding, upgrading to Ultimate gives you all of those options.
