WeTransfer accepts any file type, so everything you export from Figma is covered: PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF, WebP, MP4 prototype recordings, and ZIP archives containing full asset sets or component libraries. You can also send the raw .fig file if you are handing off the source to another designer. Files arrive exactly as exported with no re-encoding or quality loss.
Yes. WeTransfer supports folder uploads, so you can drop an entire export directory — organized however Figma or you structured it — and recipients download the folder with the original structure intact. That keeps frame names, slice groupings, and asset subfolders exactly as they were when you hit Export in Figma.
No account is needed on the receiving end. Anyone with your download link can preview and download the files straight from their browser without signing up for anything. If you send by email, the notification lands in their inbox with a direct link to the transfer.
You have two options on a free account. A password locks the transfer so only people who know it can download, and you share that separately from the link itself. Restricted access goes further: you specify which email addresses are allowed to download, and anyone else is turned away even if they have the link. Both controls are available at upload time or can be added after sending from your Transfers panel.
On a free account you can send up to 3 GB per transfer and up to 10 transfers per rolling 30-day window, with links staying active for up to 3 days. That covers most single-project handoffs comfortably.
