Files arrive exactly as they were uploaded — no conversion, no compression, no data loss.
No. WeTransfer does not re-encode, resample, or alter files in any way. Your CAD geometry, layer structures, metadata, and tolerances are preserved exactly as they left your machine. When multiple files are bundled into a ZIP for download, lossless packaging is used, meaning nothing inside the archive is touched.
No account is needed to download. Recipients click the link or the button in the notification email and the files download directly to their device. This matters when sending files to external contractors, fabricators, or clients who may not use WeTransfer themselves — there is no signup wall in their way.

For most individual transfers those limits work fine, but if you regularly send large assembly packages, need links to stay live for longer client review cycles, or want to recover a link after it has expired, WeTransfer Ultimate removes the per-transfer size cap, lets you set any expiry including never, and lets you recover expired transfers retroactively.
