Send a presentation through WeTransfer and your transfer immediately shows a running preview count, no configuration needed. When a pitch deck or product catalogue needs closer monitoring, you can switch on access control to get a named, timestamped record of each person who opened it.
Keep count of who views your transfer
Retail moves fast, and knowing whether a buyer, store manager, or wholesale partner has actually opened your presentation can make the difference between a timely follow-up and a missed opportunity. WeTransfer shows a preview count on every transfer the moment it's shared, giving you a basic read on engagement without any setup. When you need the full picture, enabling tracked or restricted access mode adds a per-recipient log so you can see exactly who viewed your slides and when. Recipients can preview presentations directly in the browser before downloading, and you can track downloads separately if you also want to know who saved a copy. Your transfers, view activity, and download logs all sit together in your account, easy to find when you need them.

All your questions answered.
Every transfer on WeTransfer automatically records a preview count, so you can see at a glance how many times your presentation has been opened. If you need to know which buyer or contact viewed it, enabling access control on the transfer switches you to a per-recipient log that shows each person's name and the time they previewed the file. No extra tools or integrations required.
WeTransfer does not send an email notification when someone previews a transfer, but the view count in your transfer list updates in real time so you can check whenever you like. For a more structured record, tracked or restricted access mode gives you a per-recipient breakdown you can refer back to before a follow-up call or meeting.
Recipients can preview PowerPoint files (PPT and PPTX) as well as PDFs directly in the browser, which is useful for retail presentations, line sheets, and seasonal catalogues. They can also choose to download only the files they want after previewing, so you get cleaner signal on what's actually being reviewed.
They are separate. Preview tracking counts how many times a transfer has been opened for viewing and, with access control enabled, shows you who did so and when. Download tracking is an additional option you enable explicitly, and it records who saved a copy of your presentation files. You can use both together if you want a complete picture of engagement.
On a free account, transfers expire after a maximum of three days. Upgrading to Ultimate removes that time limit entirely, so a seasonal lookbook or wholesale catalogue you share in January can still be accessed by retail partners months later. Ultimate also lets you recover expired transfers retroactively, including ones that expired before you upgraded.
