Know who's viewed your hotel and venue images

WeTransfer shows you a preview count on every image transfer the moment it goes out. When you need a fuller picture, tracked access gives you a named, timestamped log of exactly who opened your photos and when.

Keep count of who views your transfer

Hospitality teams share a lot of images: room shots, event setups, food and beverage spreads, renovation previews. Knowing whether a partner, planner, or client has actually looked at them saves you from guessing before a follow-up call. WeTransfer records a running preview count on every transfer automatically, visible from your account without any configuration. For deliveries where individual accountability matters, such as proposals going to venue buyers or press images sent to media contacts, switching to tracked or restricted access mode adds a per-recipient view log with names and timestamps. You can also turn on download tracking independently, so you know not just who looked but who kept a copy.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

Every transfer has a preview count that updates in real time and is visible directly from your transfer list. If you want to know which individual contacts opened your images, enable tracked or restricted access when sending, and WeTransfer will record a per-recipient log showing each person's name and the time they previewed the transfer.

WeTransfer does not send an email notification when someone previews a transfer, but the view log in your account updates as it happens. You can check your transfer list at any point to see the latest preview activity, which is often more practical than managing a stream of individual notifications.

Recipients can preview JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, HEIC, HEIF, PSD, and a range of RAW formats including ARW, NEF, CR2, CR3, DNG, RAF, RW2, and ORF, all without downloading. This means a hotel buyer or event coordinator can browse a full set of venue or food photography in-browser and choose which files they actually want to save.

Yes. You can restrict access to a specific email address or a list of addresses when you create the transfer, so only those contacts can open it. This is useful when sharing pre-launch property photos, confidential renovation visuals, or branded event imagery that is not yet intended for general circulation.

Free accounts allow transfers to remain active for up to 3 days. On the Ultimate plan and above, you can set a custom expiry date or leave transfers open indefinitely until you choose to delete them, which is practical for hospitality teams running ongoing campaigns or maintaining a rolling library of venue images for repeat clients.
