WeTransfer tracks preview and download activity as two separate events, so you can tell whether someone viewed your venue deck or catering brief in-browser without pulling the files down, or whether they downloaded everything to their device. Both signals appear in your Transfers panel against each recipient's verified email address and a precise timestamp.
Before clicking Transfer, open the transfer settings and enable download tracking. Once active, every time a recipient accesses your files, WeTransfer records who opened them, when, and from which email address. You can also choose Restricted access to limit the transfer to a named list of email addresses, so only your intended contacts can reach the files.
Yes. For email transfers, WeTransfer shows a download status alongside each recipient's address, including the date and time they accessed the files. For link transfers, enabling tracked downloads means each person must verify their email before downloading, and you receive a notification for each individual access event.
