For sensitive materials such as financial models, proprietary datasets, or confidential business reports, you can restrict access to a named list of email addresses so only the intended recipients can reach the files. Each event is tied to a verified email address and a precise timestamp. Before clicking Transfer, open the transfer settings panel and enable download tracking. Once active, every access event for that transfer is logged with the recipient's verified email address and the exact date and time. You can review this activity at any time from your Transfers panel by clicking into the transfer details. No. Recipients can open, preview, and download your transfers without creating a WeTransfer account. For data file types such as PDFs, spreadsheets, and CSVs, supported formats can be previewed directly in the browser before downloading, so a recipient can review a report without committing to a full download.
