Yes. WeTransfer records preview activity and download events separately, so you can tell whether a recipient opened your files in the browser or pulled them down to their machine. Both signals appear in your Transfers panel, each tied to the recipient and the time it happened, giving you two distinct data points for every delivery.
Before clicking Transfer, open the transfer settings and enable download tracking. Once active, every download is logged against a verified email address and a precise timestamp. The tracking option must be switched on before sending, so it is worth making it part of your sending routine whenever the delivery matters.
Yes. When you send to multiple recipients, each person's preview and download activity is logged individually, so you can see exactly who engaged with your files and when. For email transfers you can track up to 50 recipients on a paid plan, and for link transfers there is no recipient cap.
Yes. Restricted access lets you specify a list of email addresses before sending. Anyone who opens the link must verify their email, and access is only granted if they match your list. For pre-launch campaigns, private commissions, or work under NDA, this ensures the files stay with the people you intended.
WeTransfer sends any file type without altering it, including PSD and PSB files, high-resolution JPEGs, TIFFs, RAW formats, MP4 and MOV video, audio files, PDF presentations, 3D and CAD files, and ZIP archives.
