When you send RAW photos on WeTransfer, every transfer comes with a built-in preview page. Recipients can browse your shots in the browser, pick the ones they want, and download only those files. No account needed on their end.
Browse files and folders, then download
Photographers often need clients or collaborators to review a shoot before committing to a full download, and WeTransfer's preview page makes that frictionless. Supported RAW formats — including ARW, NEF, CR2, CR3, DNG, RAF, RW2, and ORF — can be viewed directly in the browser, so a client can browse a gallery, shortlist selects, and mark individual images as favorites without saving anything to their machine first. Recipients can also leave comments tied to specific photos, keeping art direction notes and approval feedback attached to the exact frame rather than scattered across emails or messages. Every file leaves WeTransfer exactly as it was uploaded: no compression, no re-encoding, and no change to resolution or color data. If you want to limit access to the right people, password protection and restricted access let you decide who can open the transfer at all.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Yes. Every WeTransfer transfer includes a preview page where recipients can scroll through your RAW files directly in the browser, no download required. They can mark individual images as favorites, leave comments on specific shots, and then download only the files they actually want. No WeTransfer account is needed on their end.
WeTransfer supports previews for ARW, NEF, CR2, CR3, DNG, RAF, RW2, and ORF files, covering cameras from Sony, Nikon, Canon, Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic, and others. The preview renders at a slightly lower resolution than the original so it loads quickly in the browser, but the file recipients download is always the full, unmodified original.
No. WeTransfer sends your files exactly as they are — no re-encoding, no resolution changes, and no alterations to the raw image data. What you upload is what the recipient downloads, which matters a lot when a retoucher or editor needs to work from the original sensor file.
Yes. Anyone with access to the preview page can leave a comment on individual files, so a client can flag a hero shot or a retoucher can note a specific frame without switching to a separate messaging thread. Comments appear directly on the file inside the transfer, and you receive an email notification each time one is added. Comments can be enabled or disabled before or after sending.
You have two options. Adding a password means anyone with the link still needs the correct passphrase to open the transfer. Using restricted access lets you specify which email addresses can download, so even if the link is forwarded, only people on your list can get in. Both options are available on all plans and can be set before you send or updated afterward from your Transfers panel.
