Every transfer you send on WeTransfer comes with a built-in preview page. Share an entire folder and your recipients can scroll through images, watch videos, listen to audio, and read PDFs right in the browser — then pick exactly which files to save. No account needed on their end.
Browse files and folders, then download
Sometimes you need to share a whole folder but the people receiving it only need a handful of files from inside it. WeTransfer preserves your folder structure on upload and delivers everything as a single transfer, so nothing gets lost or reorganised in transit. Recipients land on a preview page where they can browse the contents file by file before committing to any download, saving them from pulling an entire folder when one image or one document is all they need. They can also mark individual files as favorites and leave comments tied to specific items, which keeps feedback attached to the exact file rather than floating in a follow-up message. Everything arrives exactly as you sent it, with no compression, no re-encoding, and no changes to resolution or file quality.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Yes. WeTransfer gives every transfer a dedicated preview page, and folder transfers are no exception. Recipients can scroll through each file in the browser, including images, videos, audio, and PDFs, and then choose to download individual items rather than pulling the entire folder at once. This is especially useful when you've sent a large folder and the recipient only needs a specific asset from inside it.
Yes, folder uploads preserve the original structure. When a recipient downloads the full folder, the files arrive organised exactly as you uploaded them, so no renaming or rearranging is needed on their end. If they choose to download individual files from the preview page instead, those files download separately rather than wrapped in the folder hierarchy.
Yes. Recipients can open any previewable file on the preview page and leave a comment tied directly to that item. Comments stay attached to the individual file rather than the transfer as a whole, so feedback on a particular image or document doesn't get mixed up with notes about other files in the same folder. You'll receive an email notification each time a new comment is left.
WeTransfer can preview a broad range of file types directly in the browser, including JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, PSD, and RAW images; MP4 and MOV video files; MP3 and WAV audio; and PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and spreadsheets. Files that aren't previewable are still delivered in the transfer and available to download, they just won't display inline on the preview page.
You can restrict access to a specific list of email addresses when setting up the transfer. Only recipients whose email matches your list will be granted access after verifying their identity, so even if the link is forwarded, unauthorised people can't get in. You can also add a password to the transfer as an additional layer of protection, and both options can be adjusted from your transfers panel after the transfer has been sent.
