Yes. Every WeTransfer transfer includes a built-in preview page where recipients can view images, watch rendered video (MP4 and MOV), listen to audio, and read PDFs directly in the browser. For 3D work, that means a client can check a turntable render or a reference sheet before pulling the full package. Once they've looked through what you sent, they can download individual files or the whole transfer, whichever suits them.
WeTransfer's preview supports images (including JPEG, PNG, TIFF, PSD, and a wide range of RAW formats), MP4 and MOV video files up to 300 MB, MP3 and WAV audio up to 300 MB, and PDFs. Native 3D and CAD formats like OBJ, FBX, or STEP are not directly previewable in the browser, but you can include rendered images, turntable videos, and a PDF spec sheet alongside them in the same transfer so reviewers can evaluate the work before downloading the source files.
Yes. Recipients can leave comments tied to individual files within the preview, so a client can note revisions directly on the render they're looking at rather than describing it in a follow-up email. They don't need a WeTransfer account to comment, though they will need to provide their name and email address. You receive an email notification each time someone leaves a comment, and you can delete any comment on your transfer.
Yes. You can upload entire folders and WeTransfer preserves the original folder structure when recipients download. The preview page lets recipients browse the transfer and selectively download individual files rather than the entire batch. That way a client can grab just the final renders without pulling down every source file, and a fabricator can download only the formats they need.
WeTransfer gives you a few options on all plans. You can lock a transfer behind a password so only recipients who know it can open the preview or download anything. You can also restrict access to a specific list of email addresses, meaning anyone who opens the link has to verify their email before they can see the files. For an audit trail, you can enable download tracking to see exactly who downloaded what and when. Just share the password or link with your intended recipients outside of WeTransfer.
