Every transfer you send through WeTransfer includes a built-in preview page. Recipients can flip through images, play audio, read PDFs, and watch videos right in the browser, then choose exactly which files to save — no app, no account, nothing to install on their end.
Browse files and folders, then download
Sending files is only half the job. The preview page WeTransfer generates with every transfer means recipients can actually see what they're getting before anything lands on their hard drive. Images, audio, PDFs, and video all open inline in the browser, so a photographer sharing a shoot, a designer delivering a presentation, or a musician sending stems can give clients a full look at the work without forcing a blind download first. Viewers can mark their favorites and leave comments attached to individual files, keeping feedback connected to the work itself rather than scattered across a separate email thread. Your files are delivered exactly as you uploaded them, with no compression or re-encoding applied at any point.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
The preview page supports JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, HEIC, PSD, and a wide range of RAW formats for images; MP4 and MOV files up to 300 MB for video; MP3 and WAV files up to 300 MB for audio; and PDFs as well as common Office formats. Recipients can open any supported file directly in the browser without downloading it first.
Yes. From the preview page, recipients can browse the transfer file by file and choose to download individual items rather than pulling everything at once. They can also mark specific files as favorites, which makes it easy to flag the ones they want to keep before downloading anything.
Recipients can leave comments on individual files straight from the preview, and they don't need a WeTransfer account to do so — they just enter a name and email address. Comments stay attached to the specific file they relate to, so feedback arrives alongside the work rather than in a separate email. As the sender, you get a notification each time a new comment is posted.
No. WeTransfer does not re-encode, compress, or change your files at any point during transfer or preview. The preview itself displays at a slightly lower resolution so it loads quickly in the browser, but the files recipients download are identical to the originals you uploaded, including full-resolution images and 4K video.
Yes. When setting up a transfer you can add a password that recipients must enter before accessing the preview page, or you can enable restricted access to limit downloads to a specific list of email addresses. Both options are available on all plans, including the free one, and you can update them after sending from your Transfers panel.
