Yes. Before uploading, you can set the expiry date from the transfer options. On Free and Starter accounts, links expire after a maximum of 3 days. On Ultimate and above, you can pick any date you like, set a custom duration, or keep the transfer active indefinitely with no expiry at all.
Yes, you can update the expiry date at any time from your Transfers panel without re-uploading anything. Find the transfer, open its details, and pick a new date from the calendar. The change takes effect immediately, though recipients won't be notified automatically, so it's worth letting them know directly if timing matters.
Once a transfer expires, the download link stops working and the files are removed from WeTransfer's servers. Recipients who haven't downloaded before the deadline will no longer be able to access the photos. On Ultimate, Teams, and Enterprise plans, recoverable transfers can be retrieved for up to one year after expiry for files under 256 MB, or up to 90 days for larger files.
