On a free account, transfer links stay active for up to 3 days from the moment you send them. That window works well for quick turnarounds, but if you need more flexibility — a longer review period or a link that never expires — you'll need to upgrade to Ultimate or above, which lets you set any duration or keep a transfer open indefinitely.


Yes. Open your Transfers panel, click into the transfer, and update the expiry date from there. Changes take effect immediately, so if a client asks for more time to review mockups or you need to close access earlier than planned, you can adjust without resending anything.


No. WeTransfer does not compress or alter your files. PSDs, AI files, Figma exports, InDesign packages, high-resolution PNGs, and ZIP archives all arrive exactly as you uploaded them, with no re-encoding or quality changes at any stage.


Recipients can preview supported file types, including PDFs, JPEGs, PNGs, and PSDs, directly in the browser without downloading anything first. They can also leave comments on individual files and mark favorites, which makes collecting design feedback straightforward without the client needing to save files locally.
