Yes. Recipients can open and read a PDF directly in the browser before downloading anything. This works on the branded transfer page just as it does on a standard WeTransfer transfer, and it means clients can confirm they have the right document without saving a copy first. If you have comments enabled, they can also leave feedback on individual files from that same preview.
WeTransfer never alters, compresses, or re-encodes files during transfer. The PDF your client opens is byte-for-byte identical to the one you uploaded, with all fonts, embedded links, and formatting intact. This applies whether you send one document or a folder full of them.
You have a few options. You can add a password that recipients must enter before accessing the transfer, or you can restrict access to specific email addresses so only people on your list can download. Both options are available on all plans and can be set or changed after the transfer has already been sent, from your Transfers panel.
Your custom WeTransfer page works as an upload portal as well as a delivery address. Anyone visiting your branded URL can upload files directly to you without you needing to set up a separate file request. They will need a free WeTransfer account to upload, but there is nothing else for them to configure on their end.
On WeTransfer Ultimate, you can set a custom expiry date or choose to keep a transfer live until you delete it manually. This is useful for things like ongoing client proposals or reference documents you want permanently accessible. Free accounts are limited to a maximum of three days before a transfer expires and the link stops working.
