You can send any file type through your branded WeTransfer page, including ZIP archives, tarballs, shell scripts, Python or JavaScript files, configuration files, compiled binaries, and full folder structures. Folders upload with their original directory structure intact, so recipients get the project hierarchy exactly as you organized it. Nothing is re-encoded or compressed by WeTransfer, so what you upload is what they download.
On WeTransfer Ultimate, go to Account Settings and claim your subdomain under the Branding section. Once you have a subdomain, you can add a logo, rotating background images or videos, social links, and a short description. Your page is live immediately and ready to send from or receive uploads through. The subdomain is yours to keep and change as often as you need.
Yes. On Ultimate and above, every individual transfer can carry its own custom background image or color and a description, separate from your main branded page settings. This is useful when you want a major release to feel distinct from a routine hotfix, or when you are delivering to different clients from the same account. The per-transfer customization sits on top of your branded page without replacing it.
Your custom WeTransfer page doubles as an upload portal, so clients can send briefs, assets, or any other files back to you through the same address. Anyone uploading to your branded page needs a free WeTransfer account to do so, but they do not need a paid plan. Uploads land in your Received panel, and you get an email notification when something comes in.
Yes. When creating a transfer, you can restrict access to a specific list of email addresses, so only the recipients you name can download. You can also enable tracked downloads, which require anyone with the link to verify their email before accessing the files, and you receive a notification each time someone downloads. Both options are available on all plans, including free, and can be adjusted after a transfer has been sent.
