Each transfer shows a downloaded or not yet downloaded status, and for email transfers a checkmark appears next to each recipient's address once they collect the files, with the exact date and time visible on hover. No extra setup is needed to see this basic status for every transfer you send.
Yes, by enabling Access Control before you send, WeTransfer prompts every downloader to verify their email address first and sends you a notification each time someone accesses the transfer. You can then see a full record of who downloaded your files and when, directly in the transfer's activity log. This is especially useful for retail materials that need a confirmed delivery trail, such as wholesale proposals or campaign briefing packs.
When you send a transfer to multiple recipients by email, WeTransfer tracks each person individually. You can see at a glance which partner has downloaded and which has not, so you know exactly who to follow up with before a product launch or trade deadline. For link transfers shared with many people, enabling Access Control adds per-person email verification so individual downloads are still identifiable.
