Open the Transfers panel in your account and find the transfer you sent. If you used email delivery, each recipient shows their own downloaded or not yet downloaded status, so you can see exactly whose copy has been collected. For link transfers, the panel shows whether the files have been downloaded at all.
Basic download status is recorded automatically for all transfers, no setup needed. If you want deeper visibility, like a notification each time someone downloads and a timestamped record of who accessed the files, you can enable Access Control in the transfer settings before you send. This asks anyone opening the link to verify their email address first.
Yes. Before sending, you can enable Restricted downloads under Access Control and specify a list of approved email addresses. Anyone who opens the link will need to verify their email, and access is only granted if their address matches your list. It's a practical layer of protection for unreleased artwork, client-specific compositions, or confidential design files.
WeTransfer sends files in their original format without re-encoding, compressing, or modifying them in any way. Your Photoshop files, including all layers, smart objects, and embedded assets, arrive on the other end exactly as you uploaded them.
