WeTransfer lets you upload entire folders and send them without flattening the structure, so recipients get everything exactly as you organized it. From your Transfers panel, you can check the download status of any transfer you have sent, and email transfers show a separate status per recipient so you know precisely who has collected their copy. If you want a more detailed record, enabling Access Control before you send adds email verification at the point of download and notifies you each time someone accesses the files. For confidential or client-specific folder deliveries, Restricted downloads ties the transfer to a named list of approved addresses so the contents only reach the people you intended.

Yes. Every transfer you send appears in your Transfers panel with a download status that updates as soon as a recipient collects the files. If you sent the folder by email to multiple people, each recipient has their own individual status, so you can see at a glance who has downloaded and who has not yet opened the transfer.
It does. You can upload a complete folder and recipients download it with the original hierarchy preserved, so nothing gets reorganized or renamed in transit. If the transfer contains multiple files, they arrive as a zip that unpacks into the same structure you uploaded.
Basic download tracking is on by default for all accounts, and your Transfers panel always shows whether a transfer has been downloaded. For richer detail, such as a timestamped notification each time someone accesses your folder link, you can enable Tracked downloads in Access Control before sending. That option is not on by default, so you switch it on when you need that level of visibility.
Yes. Before sending, you can enable Restricted downloads under Access Control and add the email addresses that should have access. Anyone who opens the link must verify their email first, and access is only granted if their address matches your approved list. You can edit that list after sending from the transfer details page, and changes take effect straight away.
WeTransfer never re-encodes or alters your files. Videos, images, design files, and any other content inside your folder are transferred in their original quality with no resolution loss. WeTransfer uses lossless packaging when bundling files for download, so the data your recipient unpacks is identical to what you uploaded.
