WeTransfer lets photographers send RAW files and collect comments on each one inside a browser preview. Reviewers open the transfer, annotate individual shots, and mark favorites, all without downloading a single file or signing up for anything. You stay in control of the transfer from your account, adjusting settings and descriptions as the review evolves.
Collaborate on every transfer
Photographers sharing RAW files for review often lose feedback to scattered messages and reply-all threads. WeTransfer keeps comments anchored to the individual file they refer to, so a client's note on a specific shot stays exactly where it belongs inside the browser preview. You get an email notification each time a comment lands, giving you a running picture of where the review stands without chasing anyone down. After sending, you can go back to the transfer detail page to rename the shoot, update the description, or switch comment permissions, with no need to re-upload. Every plan includes password protection and the option to restrict access to specific email addresses, so your unedited RAW work reaches only the people it is meant for.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Yes. Recipients can open your transfer in the browser and leave comments on individual files directly from the preview, no download and no WeTransfer account required. If they are not logged in, they just enter a name and email address to post a comment. You receive an email notification each time someone leaves a note, so you always know when feedback has come in.
WeTransfer previews a wide range of RAW formats including ARW, NEF, CR2, CR3, DNG, RAF, RW2, and ORF, alongside common formats like JPEG, PNG, TIFF, HEIC, and PSD. The preview displays at a slightly lower resolution than the original so recipients can assess each shot before deciding what to download. Your original RAW files are never re-encoded or altered in any way.
Go to your Transfers panel, open the transfer, scroll to Extra settings, and expand the Comments section to change the setting. Turning comments off hides existing notes from viewers but does not delete them, so re-enabling brings everything back. You can toggle this at any point after sending without touching the files themselves.
Yes. Reviewers can mark individual files as favorites directly inside the browser preview, which is useful when an art director is selecting hero shots from a large RAW delivery. They can also comment on each file separately, so selection notes and technical feedback stay attached to the specific image rather than arriving in a separate message.
Yes. From the transfer detail page in your account you can rename the transfer, add or edit a description, and adjust settings like comment permissions or password protection at any time after sending. This is handy when a revised selection replaces an earlier cut already in a client's hands, or when you want to add shoot notes that were not ready at the time of upload.
