Share photos and get feedback without the back-and-forth

Send your photos through WeTransfer and recipients can view each one in the browser, leave comments on individual files, and mark their favorites, all without downloading anything. You keep full control after sending, adjusting transfer settings, titles, and comment preferences from your account whenever you need to.

Collaborate on every transfer

Getting useful feedback on photos often means chasing replies across inboxes and chat threads, with no clear link between a comment and the image it refers to. WeTransfer keeps that feedback right where it belongs: attached to each photo in the browser preview, visible at a glance, with no account required from the person commenting. Every new comment sends you an email notification, so you always know when someone has weighed in. Your transfer detail page lets you rename the transfer, update the description, or change comment settings at any point, whether the photos went out five minutes ago or five weeks ago. For shoots or projects that need tighter control, password protection and access restriction by specific email addresses are available on every plan.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

Yes. Recipients can open any photo in the browser preview and leave a comment directly on that file, so feedback is always tied to the exact image it refers to. They do not need a WeTransfer account to comment, just their name and email address. You receive an email notification each time a new comment is posted.

WeTransfer supports in-browser preview for JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, HEIC, HEIF, PSD, and a wide range of RAW formats including ARW, NEF, CR2, CR3, DNG, RAF, RW2, and ORF. Recipients can browse through each image at a slightly lower preview resolution and choose which files to download, without pulling down the full transfer first.

Yes. Go to your Transfers panel, open the transfer, scroll to Extra settings, expand Comments, and switch the option to your preference. Turning comments off hides existing comments from viewers but does not delete them, so re-enabling will bring them back. The change takes effect straight away.

Yes. Anyone viewing the preview can mark individual photos as favorites while browsing the transfer. This is handy when you are sharing a large shoot and want the recipient to flag the selects without needing a separate spreadsheet or message thread.

You can add a password to any transfer so only people who know it can access the files, available on every plan. For tighter control, you can restrict access to a specific list of email addresses, meaning anyone who opens the link must verify their email before they can view or comment. Both options can be set before or after sending from the transfer detail page.
