Yes. Recipients can open the transfer in a browser and leave comments directly on individual files inside the preview, with no download and no WeTransfer account required. They simply enter their name and email address to comment. You receive an email notification each time a new comment is added, so you can follow the review in real time.
Supported preview formats include JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, HEIC, PSD, RAW formats such as ARW, NEF, CR2, DNG, and RAF, MP4 and MOV video files up to 300 MB, MP3 and WAV audio files, and PDFs. Reviewers see files at a slightly lower resolution than the original in the preview, and can decide individually which files to download at full quality.
Go to your Transfers panel, open the transfer, scroll to Extra settings, expand the Comments section, and choose your preferred option. Disabling comments hides existing ones from viewers but does not delete them, so you can restore them by re-enabling at any time. The change takes effect immediately without re-uploading the files.
Yes. From your Transfers panel, hover over the transfer and click Edit title to rename it, or open the transfer detail page to update the description and adjust other settings. None of these edits affect the underlying files or require you to resend the link, so clients and collaborators can keep using the same URL they already have.
You have two options. Password protection locks the transfer behind a password you share privately, so anyone without it cannot open the files. Restricted access goes further: only email addresses you specify can download after verifying their identity, and you receive a notification each time someone does. Both options can be set before sending or adjusted from the transfer detail page afterwards.
