Share images and collect feedback in one place

When you send images through WeTransfer, recipients can view them in the browser and leave comments on each file, right where the work lives. You stay in control after sending, with the ability to update transfer details, adjust settings, and manage comments from your account at any time.

Collaborate on every transfer

Sharing images for feedback often ends with replies split across emails, messages, and separate tools, making it hard to know which comment belongs to which file. WeTransfer keeps it together: recipients can open your images in the browser preview and leave notes tied directly to individual files, with no account needed on their end. You get an email notification each time a new comment comes in, so you can follow the conversation without chasing anyone down. From your transfer detail page, you can update the title, description, and comment settings whenever something changes, even long after the transfer was sent. For images that need tighter access control, you can add a password or limit downloads to a specific list of email addresses before or after sending.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

Yes. JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, HEIC, PSD, and most RAW formats are all supported for in-browser preview, so recipients can view your images at full fidelity without saving anything to their device first. They can leave comments on individual files directly in the preview, and they do not need a WeTransfer account to do any of it.

WeTransfer sends you an email notification each time a recipient leaves a comment on a file in your transfer. You can then open the transfer detail page to read every comment in context, attached to the specific image it refers to, without any back-and-forth needed.

Yes. Go to your Transfers panel, open the transfer, scroll to Extra settings, and adjust the Comments option at any time after sending. Turning comments off hides existing notes from viewers but does not delete them, so re-enabling them will bring everything back.

Yes. Anyone previewing your transfer can mark individual images as favorites, giving you an instant read on which files stood out before a single download happens. It is a lightweight way to gather a shortlist of preferred shots or selects without needing a separate review tool.

Yes. Open the transfer from your Sent panel and you can rename it, edit the description, change the expiry date, and toggle settings like password protection or comment access at any point. Changes take effect immediately, though recipients are not automatically notified, so it is worth letting them know directly if something important has changed.
