Yes. Recipients open the transfer link in any browser, preview the files, and leave comments on individual items without signing up or downloading anything. If they are not logged in to WeTransfer, they simply enter their name and email address to post a comment. This removes any barrier for external clients, catering partners, or venue suppliers who just need to give feedback quickly.


Recipients can preview and comment on JPEGs, PNGs, PDFs, MP4 and MOV videos, MP3 and WAV audio files, as well as common Office formats including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents. That covers most hospitality use cases, from branded event proposals and menu PDFs to walkthrough videos and room-layout images. Files display at a slightly reduced resolution in the preview, and recipients can choose to download only the specific files they need.


Go to your Transfers panel, open the transfer in question, and edit the title or description directly from the transfer detail page. Changes take effect immediately without any re-uploading. This is useful when an event brief evolves or you need to clarify instructions after a proposal has already gone out.


Yes. Open the transfer from your Transfers panel, scroll to Extra settings, expand the Comments section, and change the setting. Turning comments off hides existing comments from recipients but does not delete them, so if you re-enable comments later they reappear. You might use this to close feedback on a finalized menu or approved event schedule while keeping the files accessible.


You have two main options. You can add a password to the transfer so only recipients who know it can access the files, and share that password separately outside WeTransfer. Alternatively, you can enable restricted access and specify the exact email addresses allowed to download, so the link is useless to anyone not on your list. Both options are available on all plans and can be set before sending or adjusted afterward from the transfer detail page.
