Yes. Recipients can open your transfer in the browser preview and leave comments on individual files without downloading them or signing up for a WeTransfer account. They will be asked to enter a name and email address before commenting, and you receive an email notification each time a new comment is added.
WeTransfer supports in-browser preview for a range of formats relevant to data work, including CSV, TXT, PDF, Excel (XLS and XLSX), and Office documents such as DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, ODS, and ODT. Recipients can review the content, leave comments, and mark favorite files without needing to download the whole transfer first.
Go to your Transfers panel, open the transfer, and find the Comments option under Extra settings. You can switch commenting on or off at any point after sending. Turning comments off hides existing comments from recipients but does not delete them, so you can re-enable them later and the previous feedback will reappear.
Yes. Open the transfer from your Transfers panel and click into the title or description field to edit either one. Changes take effect immediately without any need to re-upload the files or create a new transfer, so the link you already shared continues to work with the updated details.
Every plan includes password protection, which requires recipients to enter a password before accessing the transfer. You can also enable restricted access, which limits downloads to a specific list of email addresses you define. Both options are available from the transfer settings before or after sending, and changes take effect immediately.
