Artists and creators need feedback that stays connected to the work itself, not buried in a reply chain. WeTransfer lets recipients comment on individual files inside a browser preview, while you keep full control over the transfer, its details, and who can see it.
Collaborate on every transfer
When you share creative work, getting useful feedback means making it easy for people to respond to what they are actually looking at. WeTransfer lets recipients preview images, video, audio, and PDFs directly in the browser and leave comments on each file individually, so a note about a specific illustration or a reaction to a particular cut stays anchored to that file. You get an email notification each time a comment comes in, so there is no need to follow up asking whether anyone has looked. After sending, you can return to the transfer detail page to rename the transfer, update its description, change the comment settings, or adjust access controls without re-uploading anything. Your content stays yours throughout: WeTransfer never sells your files or uses them to train AI.
Our features are designed to minimize how much of your data we — or anyone else — can access, so you can keep what's yours, yours.

All your questions answered.
Anyone with access to your transfer can open it in their browser, click on a file in the preview, and leave a comment directly on that file. They do not need a WeTransfer account to comment, just a name and email address. As the sender, you receive an email notification each time a new comment is added, and you can delete any comment on your transfer at any time.
WeTransfer supports in-browser preview for a wide range of formats artists and creators commonly use, including JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, PSD and PSB, RAW formats like ARW, NEF, CR2, and DNG, MP4 and MOV video up to 300 MB, MP3 and WAV audio, and PDFs. Reviewers can click into any supported file to leave comments and mark favorites without downloading a thing.
Yes. Go to your Transfers panel, open the transfer, scroll to Extra settings, and change the Comments option to disabled. Turning comments off hides existing comments from viewers but does not delete them, so if you re-enable comments later they will reappear. You can also switch commenting on or off before sending under View options in the transfer window.
Yes, from the transfer detail page you can rename the transfer and edit its description at any point after sending, without touching the original files or generating a new link. This is useful for keeping your transfer list organized across projects, or for clarifying context for a reviewer who opens the transfer later.
You can add a password to any transfer before or after sending, which recipients must enter before they can access the files. You can also enable Restricted access to limit downloads to a specific list of email addresses, so only named individuals can open the transfer even if the link gets forwarded. Both options are available on all plans and can be adjusted from the transfer detail page after sending.
