Yes. The WeTransfer homepage is the uploader, so you drag your PDF directly onto the page and the upload starts right away. You do not need to open a separate menu or find an upload button first. Once the file is uploaded, you can either send it to a recipient by email or copy a shareable link.
WeTransfer does not alter your files in any way during the transfer. Your PDF arrives with the same fonts, layout, resolution, and embedded content it had when you uploaded it — nothing is re-encoded or modified. This matters especially for print-ready documents, signed forms, or design-heavy decks where even small changes to formatting would be a problem.
Yes. Recipients can view PDFs directly in their browser from the transfer page without downloading the file first. This lets someone check they have the right document — or confirm the version is correct — before pulling it to their device. No account is needed to use the preview.
Free accounts support transfers up to 3 GB and up to 10 transfers per rolling 30-day window, which covers the vast majority of PDF sharing. You can drag multiple PDFs into the transfer window at once and they will all be included in a single transfer. If you regularly send large batches or high-resolution print files that push past the free limit, upgrading to Ultimate removes the per-transfer size cap entirely.
On a free account, download links expire after a maximum of 3 days from the moment the transfer is sent. If you need a link to stay active longer — say, for a contract a client will sign later in the week, or a PDF you want available indefinitely — Ultimate lets you set a custom expiry or keep transfers active for as long as you choose.
