Share presentations with a simple drag and drop

Drag your presentation files onto the WeTransfer homepage and the upload begins straight away. No software to install, no account needed for your students or colleagues to download — just drop your slides in, then send directly to inboxes or share a single link with a whole class.

Uploading made effortless

Teachers, lecturers, and instructional designers often need a fast, friction-free way to get presentation files into the right hands, and WeTransfer is built for exactly that workflow. Drop your PowerPoint, Keynote, or PDF slides onto the homepage and the upload starts immediately, before you have even typed a recipient's name. Files arrive exactly as you created them, with no conversion or compression, so animations, embedded fonts, and high-resolution graphics all stay intact. Recipients can open a browser preview of supported formats without downloading anything first, which is useful when students want a quick look at lecture slides before saving the full file. You can also password-protect any transfer or limit access to a specific list of email addresses, keeping course materials in front of the right people.

FAQs

All your questions answered.

Go to wetransfer.com, then drag your PowerPoint, Keynote, or PDF files directly onto the upload area on the homepage. The upload begins as soon as the files land, with nothing to configure first. You can then add student or colleague email addresses for direct delivery, or switch to a shareable link you can post in a learning management system or class chat.

Yes. With a link transfer, every student gets the same download URL, so you can share it in a course portal, group chat, or email newsletter without any recipient limit on the link itself. If you prefer direct email delivery, you can add up to 10 recipients on a free account. Either way, students download without needing a WeTransfer account.

WeTransfer sends files exactly as they are on your machine, with no re-encoding, no conversion, and no compression. Slide layouts, embedded fonts, speaker notes, and high-resolution images all arrive untouched. If a student opens a browser preview of a supported format, the preview renders at a slightly lower resolution than the original, but the downloaded file is always the full, original version.

Yes. Recipients can preview supported file types, including PDF and common Office formats, directly in the browser without downloading anything first. This is handy for students who want to check whether a set of slides is the right week's material before saving it locally. They can also comment on individual files in the preview, useful for quick questions or feedback on draft presentations.

On a free account, transfer links are available for up to 3 days. On Ultimate and above, you can set a custom expiry or keep the link active indefinitely, which suits course materials that students need to revisit throughout a term. On any plan you can add a password to a transfer, and you can restrict access so that only specific email addresses can download, helping keep sensitive course content away from unintended recipients.
