Yes. WeTransfer sends files exactly as they are, with no compression, no re-encoding, and no resolution changes. That applies to 4K video, RAW image files, layered Photoshop or Illustrator documents, 3D and CAD assets, and any other format you need to move. Recipients can also preview supported file types directly in the browser before downloading, which is useful when clients or collaborators only need to check specific files in a large transfer.
All files are encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256, stored on AWS infrastructure in EU data centers, and WeTransfer is ISO 27001 certified and fully GDPR-compliant. On top of the baseline encryption, you can add a password to any transfer, enable download tracking to see who accessed files and when, or restrict access so only people on a specified list of email addresses can download. Data Processing Agreements are available for business plan customers, and WeTransfer never uses your files to train AI or shares them with third parties.
WeTransfer Teams gives up to 50 members a shared workspace with centralized billing, shared storage, and shared branding so every transfer your team sends carries a consistent look. Admins can see and manage all transfers across the workspace, while members have visibility into their own. If you need more scale, Enterprise adds unlimited members, custom storage, SSO, advanced access management, usage logs, and premium support, all configurable to your organization's requirements.
On WeTransfer Ultimate, Teams, and Enterprise, expired transfers can be recovered, including ones that expired before you upgraded. For files under 256 MB, recovery is available for up to one year after expiry. For files over 256 MB, the window is up to 90 days. Free and Starter plan transfers cannot be recovered once they expire, so if you regularly send time-sensitive deliverables or need a reliable archive, upgrading to Ultimate is the practical safeguard.
